Winemakers notes ~ Aged 28 months in small oak barrels. 75% American oak and 25% French. Extended ageing enhances the bright fruit aromas of Mourvedre. Syrah is co-fermented with Viognier to boost up the fruit notes and then added for additional color and mid-palate softness.
Tasting notes ~ Our Harvest Moon Red is a medium-bodied wine with hints of current, red berries and black pepper. The notable aroma of cooked berries and spices bring to mind the lazy heat of summer. Enjoy this wine with nutty or spicy cheeses to bring out the earthy flavors. Try pairing with a German sausage, roasted lamb, seasoned elk or anything with a Bolognese sauce. Serve at room temperature.
